Sure...like you I LOVED my job...well I LOVED TEACHING! I loved watching those lightbulbs slowly glow and then burn bright as my students learned and developed new skills. I never dreamed of stepping out of the traditional classroom but when I realized that I could have an even BIGGER impact on young minds and ALSO help teachers both in and out of the classroom, I knew it was time to leave and devote my time to this mission.
One thing though, I am not trying to take every teacher out of the classroom. In fact, I believe that if you are an effective and highly qualified educator then WE NEED YOU IN THE CLASSROOM! I also however believe that YOU DESERVE MORE! YES, I am a fierce advocate for reform in education including proper and fair compensation for the hard work and dedication you give to your profession. That however isn't sure to happen soon and YOU STILL HAVE BILLS TO PAY and a LIFE TO LIVE TODAY!
I believe you deserve to live life on your terms, regardless of what the government believes your worth as a teacher is. Is it possible to build a six, even seven-figure business while still teaching? ABSOLUTELY! Is that journey going to be the same as an educational rockstar who steps out of the classroom to do it full time? NO! And that is OK! But you can have a successful online teacher business that allows you to do even more in your classroom should you decide to continue that path.

So, how did I go from overworked and underpaid to present and fulfilled mom, parent, and grandparent that doesn't have to worry about the debit card being declined when buying groceries while still following my passion for education and teaching?
You have to find YOUR secret sauce...
When I began my journey as a teacher business owner, I remember thinking that because I was a phenomenal teacher, had amazing classroom ideas and resources I was using in my own classroom, and I already had a social media presence sharing my classroom, starting a teacher business would be easy!
After 7 years of struggling and not even hitting the first milestone on a Teachers Pay Teachers ®, I took a step back and began to reevaluate my business.
On the advice of a friend, I set up a social media ad for a product in my shop. I swore I would never PAY for advertising. But this little ad changed the game. The ad was definitely set up wrong and I cringe at the assets I used but that ad resulted in bringing in $56,000 in just one month. And it didn't stop there!
I wish I could say that the FB ad was the key, but it wasn't! It was just the spark that lit the fire. The key was a whole mindset shift that came through finding my own coach and getting business advice from leading experts in the online space, and then applying that to the teacher business industry.
Since that fateful day in 2018 we have not only generated over a million dollars in revenue from our shop on TPT but we have gone on to create a course and membership that generates multiple six figures a year and serves thousands of teachers across the world.
We now run a seven-figure business that helps us travel, spend more time with family, and give other teachers, stay-at-home moms and dads the ability to supplement their own income and have a lasting effect on teachers and students around the world.
BUT...I knew there was more that I had to offer and a calling that was pulling at my heart and soul!
Building my own online teacher business was only the first step...
Building my online business was an adventure. But along the way, I have made some BIG...HUGE...mistakes!
I had learned from some of the biggest, and baddest, online entrepreneurs and in just 3 short years had managed to build the business of my dreams.
So many amazing experts had poured their knowledge into me and I knew that I had to pay that forward and help other teachers who I saw struggling, just like I was, to build their businesses
So with a little push from an amazing coach, I opened up my coaching services to help teacher business owners finally overcome the obstacles holding them back from success.

One thing that always bothered me when building my business is the lack of help and support when it came to all the things.
Don't get me wrong, there are social media groups that you can join and yeah you might find a few pieces of surface level advice. But what I mostly found was a toxic environment of constant complaining and blame for why teacher businesses weren't successful.
It NEVER sat well with me. It was not good for my mental health or the health of my business.
